History Educational Institution Barrio Santander

 Educational Institution Barrio Santander is located in the district 6, northwest of Medellin. 

Consists of the Headquarters, located in the race 78C No. 104F-78 at the edge of the Barrio Doce de Octubre, whose immediate neighbor buses Terminal Transport Company Castilla. The organization becomes a meeting point and direction of ideas and projects aimed at developing the students and parents and / or guardians faculty and staff, taking part in violent and destructive environments and putting these in righteousness and respect for citizens for community values ​​contribute to the project of man and woman that Colombia needs; 
Section State of Israel, located in the same area on 110 th Street N º 75 - 01 is on the border with the District Florence, whose sphere of influence is dynamic. 

The history of the institution dates back to 1977, when he managed the creation of a secondary educational establishment for the Barrio Santander, and that was when the Ministry of Education and Culture Department of Antioquia created a sixth group which functioned as annexes Masses at Liceo del Barrio Diego Echevarria Florence. 

On January 22, 1981 Departmental Decree 0093 gave legal existence to the institution and make the plant personnel, a principal and eight teachers for the operation of six groups with a total of 307 students. 

In 1984 the Lyceum began the year with 10 groups for a total of 436 students. This establishment was supported by the Community in 1984 before the suit was necessary to expand school places to sixth grade increase in 7 groups distributed as follows: 4 groups in the State of Israel and School 3 groups in classrooms provided by the Community Action Quarter Paris Sauces. By this time the Lyceum is fragmented into three parts: the headquarters of the State of Israel and School of Paris. So ran the institution for three years.

The period between 1987 and 1992 can be called the heyday of the Lyceum, given that educational diversification opened the doors to the Lyceum to train students in methods of marketing and human sciences, through which was a true projection of the Community School for their participation and integration in social activities of the neighborhood and neighboring places. 

Young lived through the institution and values ​​of real projects developed involving the surrounding community through fairs promoted by these and guided by teachers and experienced same corporate values ​​and was running the newspaper, led by the Sciences mode Human characterized which we called "Express because" as the organ of the institution and lasts until the year 1996, the Coordinator of the same waiver and does not continue this wonderful project. By means of this information, are still some copies.

In 1994, measures were initiated to achieve a proper ground for the construction of a suitable location to develop the educational work. 

Teaching The marketing worked well, which was a laboratory in which the students will practice on accounting, marketing and sales techniques of that era still remember their college students as an opportunity that opened the doors to take the field work. 

In 1999 it merged with the center of the Lyceum Officer Adult Pedregal neighborhood, and starts with three days work. The night is received with 244 enrolled students, three teachers from plant and other contract distributed in cycles 1, 2, 3 and 4 for a total of eight groups. 

On 17 March 2000 is the official presentation of the current physical plant, and opened the first stage of the Lyceum. This achievement is attributed largely to the management of the rector of this era Luis Alfredo Londono, who with his dedication and drive is realized the dream of letting Community High School District Santander one with all the space needed for the project Education institutional gap that was always present, as the former was anti-pedagogical their local spaces. 

In 2001 started work at the new headquarters the current Rector, OMAR PALACIOS CUESTA and by resolution 5753 of July 27, 2001, night recognizes the high school and passed the different CLEI, and this same resolution changes the name of Liceo Santander , going to college Santander, the presence of a grade, the CLEI 2. 

The November 17, 2002, through Resolution 16 235 applies the joint with the School State of Israel, located on 110th Street No. 75-01 and as a result of this merger goes from school to Santander Educational Institution with Subdivision Barrio Santander based headquarters, and Section State of Israel and is the Official Character recognition from 2002 to the Educational Institution and authorizing Santander Barrio to the same formal education is taught in levels of pre- school, basic education, primary, secondary and academic level of formal education and adult basic education levels CLEI primary cycle and cycle 1 and 2 Secondary 3 and 4 CLEI academic CLEI 5 and 6. 

Section State of Israel has also undergone changes since its inception, started operating since 1972 as the School Integrated Urban Republic of Israel in 1996 by local agreement No. 19 changed its name to Urban School State of Israel.

The institution has 2205 students, 1 Rector, 4 coordinators, 65 teachers. 

At the main physical plant consists of three blocks, one of which is administrative and the other two are located 15 classrooms, staff room, laboratory, two classrooms, ICT room and library open. We also have large, modern auditorium, coliseum, and restaurant industry in very good condition. It is necessary to build a playground for improving the quality of life of children. 

In the Status section of Israel has 12 classrooms, space for the school cafeteria, auditorium and playground for children. 

Today the District Educational Institution Santander has the form of Media Technical Software Design, established by resolution 280 of November 14, 2003, Media Technical Assistant in Web programming agreement with SENA (agreement signed by the Secretary of Education of Medellin ) since 2007 and the average academic students who do not choose to form and adult education in night shift.
